What to Expect at Your Treatment

In compliance with the Veterinary Surgeons Act (1966) and the Veterinary Exemptions Order (2015), I do not treat any dog without veterinary consent. Please ask me and I will provide a consent form.
Each dog is an individual and will be treated depending on their needs and capabilities. Typically, however, your initial clinical massage consultation will involve :
  •  A full medical history of your dog, as well as discussing his normal daily routine, what issues you       may have  noticed and what your hopes and expectations of the treatment are. Whilst we talk,     your dog is  able to get used to the surroundings and begin to relax
  • Postural analysis (looking for irregularities and areas of tension)
  • Gait analysis (looking at how your dog moves)
  • Palpation (hands on investigation of your dog's muscles and soft tissues)
  • Massage treatment
  • Aftercare instructions and advice
Initial consultations generally last for 90 minutes, with subsequent treatments around 60 minutes.
Please don't worry though if your dog does not settle for the whole treatment as they may need a break, a wriggle, or a breather. As a Clinical Canine Massage Therapist, I work WITH not ON the dog!
The cost for each session is £35 (additional mileage may apply if home visits are required)
I expect to see visible reults in between 1 to 3 sessions and will report back to your vet with my assessment and outcomes to ensure overall consistency of care.
